Acquire scientific methodologies and thought processes for leading projects to success, developing the next generation of leaders.
Scientifically analyze all projects. Acquire the fundamentals and theories of management required by companies through practical experience.
With the diversification of market demands, the continuous emergence of new technologies, and customer expectations for reduced costs and shorter timelines, many companies face significant daily challenges. In this environment, project managers who can scientifically analyze and effectively manage projects are in high demand. This department offers a structured curriculum, starting with methods to define project objectives and advancing to practical knowledge and theoretical frameworks in project management. This includes techniques for allocating limited budgets and resources while meeting deadlines and constraints. While becoming a project manager immediately after graduation is rare, students with a broad perspective and solid understanding of project management are highly sought after.
Applying fundamental theories through group learning
While studying core theories, students form project teams within the class and practice the entire project cycle, from planning to completion, repeatedly. By changing group members each time, students naturally develop the ability to manage tasks based on their own skills and workloads.
Enhancing expertise through specialized courses and practical experiments
Students can choose between the 'Management Systems Course,' which trains professionals in business systems, and the 'Project Management Course,' which focuses on practical project management skills. In 'Project Management Experiments,' small groups tackle challenges such as launching new businesses or developing software.
Joining a research lab from the first semester and participating in exercises
All students join a research lab starting in the first semester, learning in a diverse environment alongside fourth-year and graduate students. In the first semester, students are grouped into three categories based on their career aspirations to further develop their management skills. In the second semester, they deepen their expertise through specialized courses and exercises, such as 'Research Projects' and 'Seminars.
Undertaking graduation research as the culmination of their learning
Students apply the knowledge and practical skills they have accumulated throughout their studies to their graduation research. This research follows an active learning approach, where students take the initiative to identify problems and develop solutions. Through this process, they enhance their ability to think independently and solve problems, unlocking their full potential and gaining the confidence to tackle any project.
